About Heather

My Background

I am a former therapist who worked for a decade as a startup executive/operator.

I have a master’s degree in counseling psychology and practiced for years as a therapist and coach for individuals and couples.

Then a friend invited me to join her startup, and I started what would become a decade-long adventure in the startup world, applying my background in psychology to building and leading some incredible teams. The next startup I joined grew from a scrappy and wild little outfit to a public company, and I grew right along with it, building and leading some of the company’s largest operational teams from the ground up, and serving as an senior executive before, during, and after our IPO. That startup was Etsy, where I served as an SVP, leading the teams focused on Etsy’s community of millions of entrepreneurs.

Like my clients, I’ve sought impact, autonomy, and the chance to do work that allows me to be a full human. I’m also an experienced operator who has been in the management trenches of high growth startups. This non-dualistic thinking means it’s not counterintuitive for me to see the connections between “let’s talk about how you are really doing” and “let’s take a look at your org chart,” and I love to work with clients who also like to move and exist in both the deep and the practical.

I’ve got years of experience of working with executives and founders in high growth startups. I deeply love my clients and am obsessed with helping them achieve peak performance and success (however they define that). Once we choose each other, I’ve got you.

I work with clients throughout the world by phone and video. I live in the Berkshires with my husband, my two daughters, and our animals.

If you would like to explore the possibility of working together, let’s chat.
